Prohibited Items Policy

You may not list anything that is illegal to sell, own, share, import, export, advertise, or deliver where you are sending it.

You may not list stolen goods, recalled goods, embargoed goods, goods that dodge customs or tax, or anything built to defeat law enforcement or safety controls.

Regulated goods need our approval before you list them, plus proof of any licence, permit, label, safety document, age check, or delivery control we ask for.

Never allowed: firearms, ammunition, explosives, gun parts, conversion kits, stun devices, tactical weapons, and instructions or kits for making any of them.

A knife sold as a tool is fine. A knife sold as a weapon is not — how you market it is what counts.

Hazardous chemicals, poisons, corrosives, flammables, fireworks, radioactive material, and unsafe batteries need our written approval first.

Anything that encourages violence, self-harm, threats, harassment, or exploitation is never allowed.

Never allowed: illegal drugs, controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, synthetic intoxicants, and anything sold to beat a drug test.

Never allowed: counterfeit or falsified medicine. Real medicine can be approved. Fake medicine cannot — there is no route, and no paperwork makes it safe.

Prescription medicine, unapproved medical devices, regulated supplements, and body modification products need our approval first, and we may still say no.

Never allowed: claims that a product cures, prevents, or diagnoses disease, or fixes fertility, weight, or sexual performance. If the claim is not true, the listing goes.

Never allowed: counterfeits, replicas, "first copy" goods, unauthorised branded goods, and pirated content.

Do not use someone else’s brand, name, or identity in a way that misleads a buyer.

Secondhand and refurbished goods are welcome — say clearly that is what they are. Hiding it is not allowed.

Never allowed: fake reviews, bought followers, invented scarcity, bait-and-switch listings, and fake discounts.

You may not use an ordinary duka to sell securities, loans, credit repair, debt services, stored value, money transfer, crypto, gambling, lotteries, investment schemes, or financial advice.

Never allowed: accounts and logins, identity or government documents, access badges, SIM cards registered to someone else, hacking tools, malware, bots, scrapers, and circumvention services.

Digital licences, subscriptions, event tickets, travel packages, and contribution campaigns may need extra controls, and we can remove them if a risk check fails.

Never allowed: pornography, sexually exploitative material, anything involving a child, and adult services.

Never allowed: hateful, discriminatory, extremist, or terrorist products and content.

Never allowed: anything that exposes private data, enables stalking, intercepts messages, or tracks a person without their consent.

Never allowed: live animals, endangered species, wildlife products, ivory, animal-fighting products, and anything made from a protected species.

Food, cosmetics, alcohol, tobacco, nicotine, vapes, and other age-restricted goods need our approval first, and may not be available on an ordinary duka at all.

Anything perishable, temperature-sensitive, or eaten must meet every labelling, storage, safety, delivery, and recall requirement that applies to it.

We can reject a listing before it goes live or pull it afterwards. We can also cancel orders, refund buyers, hold your money, demand evidence, turn off checkout, or restrict your account.

If we open a policy review, respond quickly and send what we ask for. Going quiet can cost you the listing, the payout, or the account.

This list is not complete. We can restrict any item, seller, campaign, or delivery method that creates risk we are not willing to carry. If you are unsure, ask us first — that is cheaper for both of us than a pulled listing.
