Privacy Notice

Updated May 8, 2026

This notice explains how sokko collects and uses information to run storefronts, checkout, fulfillment, customer support, fraud prevention, analytics, and seller payouts.

  • We collect the information needed to operate marketplace, checkout, delivery, support, and payout workflows.
  • We share data with sellers, service providers, payment partners, logistics partners, and compliance partners when needed to provide the service.
  • We keep security, fraud, accounting, tax, dispute, and transaction records for as long as needed to protect the platform and comply with obligations.

1. Information we collect

We collect account information, contact details, customer identity references, seller business details, invite and role data, storefront content, product listings, media, order information, delivery and pickup details, payment references, support messages, and payout details.

We collect device, browser, network, session, log, security, analytics, cart, checkout, campaign, referral, and interaction data when you use the platform.

We may receive information from payment providers, logistics partners, identity or risk providers, sellers, buyers, operators, support teams, and webhook or integration partners.

2. How we use information

We use information to create accounts, operate storefronts, process carts and orders, coordinate payments and installments, verify fulfillment, release or hold payouts, handle refunds and disputes, send customer and seller messages, and provide support.

We use information to detect fraud, abuse, prohibited items, payment risk, account takeover, unsafe seller behavior, fulfillment failures, and policy violations.

We use aggregated and operational data to improve product quality, analytics, recommendations, search, promotions, reliability, security, marketplace trust, and seller performance tools.

3. Sharing with sellers and buyers

When a buyer places an order, we may share the buyer name, contact, delivery, pickup, order, payment posture, message, and support details needed for the seller to fulfill and support that order.

When a seller operates a storefront, we may show buyers seller names, storefront details, product information, fulfillment options, customer messages, refund status, and support outcomes.

We limit seller access by account scope where the platform supports seller scoping, but sellers are responsible for protecting information they receive through their storefront workflows.

4. Service providers and partners

We may share information with infrastructure, hosting, analytics, email, SMS, payment, installment, fraud prevention, identity, delivery, mapping, support, accounting, audit, legal, and compliance providers.

Payment and logistics partners may process information under their own terms when they provide payment, settlement, delivery, or callback services.

We may disclose information to regulators, courts, law enforcement, payment networks, banks, or other parties when required by law or needed to protect rights, safety, security, or platform integrity.

5. Cookies, analytics, and tracking

We use cookies, local storage, session identifiers, analytics events, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, preserve carts, measure checkout behavior, detect abuse, remember preferences, and improve platform performance.

Blocking certain technologies may affect checkout, cart persistence, account access, analytics accuracy, fraud checks, or support diagnostics.

We do not require sellers or buyers to accept non-essential marketing where applicable law gives an opt-out or consent right.

6. Retention and security

We keep information for as long as needed for transactions, support, accounting, tax, audit, fraud prevention, legal claims, risk controls, platform security, and marketplace operations.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no online service can guarantee perfect security.

Users must protect their credentials, devices, invite links, API keys, webhooks, payout credentials, and account access.

7. Your choices

Depending on your role and applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, export, restriction, or objection for certain personal information.

Some requests may be limited where we must keep records for orders, payouts, disputes, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, safety, legal, or platform enforcement reasons.

You can update many account, storefront, contact, notification, and support details through the account or admin tools available to you.

8. Updates and contact

We may update this notice as the platform, integrations, seller tools, payment flows, or legal requirements change.

If we make material changes, we may notify users through the platform or other reasonable channels.

For privacy requests, contact support through your account, order tracking, seller, or admin workspace.
